Installation

This guide will help you prepare ASProBot so it can be used on your computer.

Follow each step in order to avoid missing files, launch errors, extraction issues, or antivirus-related problems.

Requirements

Before getting started, make sure you have:

• Windows computer or laptop
• Active internet connection
• WinRAR or 7-Zip
• Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015–2022 (x86)
• Active ASProBot license

NOTE

If you do not have WinRAR or 7-Zip installed, install one of them first so the ASProBot ZIP file can be extracted.

Prepare the ASProBot Folder

Create a dedicated folder for ASProBot.

Example:

D:\ASProBot

Recommendations:

• Do not place ASProBot inside the Atlantica Online game folder.
• Do not run ASProBot directly from the Downloads folder.
• Use a dedicated folder so the files are easier to find.
• Add the ASProBot folder to antivirus exclusions before extracting the files.

WARNING

If your antivirus removes any ASProBot files, the application may fail to open or may not work properly.

Add the ASProBot Folder to Antivirus Exclusions

Before extracting ASProBot files, add the ASProBot folder to the antivirus exclusion list.

This step helps prevent ASProBot files from being removed or quarantined immediately after extraction.

The steps below use the built-in Windows Security / Microsoft Defender.

Steps

1. Click the Windows Start button.

2. Type Windows Security.

3. Open Windows Security.

4. Select Virus & threat protection.

5. Under Virus & threat protection settings, click Manage settings.

6. Scroll down to Exclusions.

7. Click Add or remove exclusions.

8. If a User Account Control prompt appears, click Yes.

9. Click Add an exclusion.

10. Select Folder.

11. Choose the ASProBot folder you created earlier.

    Example:

    D:\ASProBot

12. Click Select Folder.

After this step is completed, the ASProBot folder will be added to the antivirus exclusion list.

IMPORTANT

Do not add an entire drive such as C:\ or D:\ to the exclusion list. Only add the ASProBot folder.

NOTE

If you use another antivirus such as Avast, AVG, Kaspersky, ESET, Bitdefender, or Smadav, look for a menu named Exclusion, Exceptions, Whitelist, Allowed List, or Trusted Folder, then add the ASProBot folder there.

Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable

ASProBot requires Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015–2022 x86.

Download it from:

https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

After the file has been downloaded:

1. Open vc_redist.x86.exe.
2. Accept the license agreement if prompted.
3. Click Install.
4. Wait until the installation process is complete.
5. If Windows asks you to restart, restart your computer first.

TIP

Only the x86 version is required.

If the ZIP File Is Blocked by Windows

On some computers, Windows may mark downloaded files as coming from the internet.

If the ZIP file fails to extract or the application cannot be opened after extraction, follow these steps:

1. Right-click the ASProBot ZIP file.
2. Select Properties.
3. On the General tab, look near the bottom.
4. If you see Unblock, check it.
5. Click Apply.
6. Click OK.

After that, try extracting the ASProBot file again.

TIP

If the Unblock option does not appear, the file is not being blocked by Windows.

Extract ASProBot Files Using WinRAR

After adding the ASProBot folder to antivirus exclusions, extract the ASProBot ZIP file using WinRAR.

Steps

1. Open the folder where the ASProBot ZIP file is saved.

   Usually, the file is located in:

   Downloads

2. Right-click the ASProBot ZIP file.

3. Select Extract files....

4. In Destination path, choose the ASProBot folder you created earlier.

   Example:

   D:\ASProBot

5. Click OK.

6. If WinRAR asks for a password, enter:

   asprobot

7. Click OK.

8. Wait until the extraction process is complete.

9. Open the ASProBot folder and make sure the application files are available.

IMPORTANT

Do not run ASProBot directly from inside the ZIP file. The files must be extracted first into a dedicated folder.

NOTE

If an error appears during extraction, check the password, make sure the ZIP file was fully downloaded, and confirm that the ASProBot folder has been added to antivirus exclusions.

Check the Extracted Files

After extraction is complete, open the ASProBot folder.

Make sure the main ASProBot application file is visible inside the folder.

If the folder looks empty, files are missing, or the application does not appear, one of the following may have happened:

• The ZIP file was not extracted properly.
• The password was entered incorrectly.
• Antivirus removed files after extraction.
• The downloaded file is corrupted or incomplete.

If this happens, repeat the following steps:

1. Make sure the ASProBot folder has been added to antivirus exclusions.
2. Download the ASProBot file again.
3. Extract the ZIP file again into the ASProBot folder.
4. Make sure the password is entered correctly.

After all files have been extracted successfully, ASProBot is ready for license activation.
